CONGRATULATIONS, YOU SURVIVED YOUR SUICIDE

this is the first song i learned on ukelele when I was staying in the desert. it is a very precious song to me. I know I am not the best musician and my ukelele strumming is kind of messy, but that's okay. I've been holding this song close for nearly 5 years since it came to me. my childhood was filled with suicidal depression and after I transitioned and pulled myself out the other end, I would listen to this song anytime it got bad. Now when everything feels bad again, I play this song.

I remember the summmer of 2022, I had a job and lived in my mom's house. Often alone or working. I was either depressed or manic. To make myself feel better I would doordash sushi every week with crab rangoon. I spent nearly all my money that year on doordash. It kept me alive, and so did this song
