Art is an expression of my soul and if I do not create art it becomes suppressed within me. Art is revolutionary. I envision a better world, often. One that is already beginning to bloom from within all of us. We crack the concrete like dandelions. I don't know if I will ever understand this world or how I got here. I don't know if I will ever understand my memories or the dreams I have. I probably never will. It is an impossible thing to understand. But I will continue to use all of my strength to do the most good for this world, for this earth, and for the people who inhabit this land. I hope others are doing the same.
I am inspired by mycelium, by native plants so-called "weeds", by insects in the dirt. I am inspired by the beauty of silk. I consider it a miracle, that a spider is able to produce such a thing and build a home. Woven intricately. The silk of a spider is a blessed thing. The strength of silk.
I am inspired by sounds, by the click of an opossum to the deep frequency of a mechanical beast on the rails. Trains that can fly... We envision worlds between worlds between worlds.
The emotions inside me, when repressed, begin to rot and infect. I cannot hold it in for shame. I cannot hold it in for guilt. I will get sicker. I am frightened to move forward, and I am frightened to rot. The fear moves through me and I move through it.
Sometimes I look back at my art and it is nothing at all, and I wonder if it's anything to anyone else
